Climate change is real and its dangerous!
It is a fact that climate change is multi-fold since the beginning of the time. If we compare the naive earth climate to today’s climate , it is massive.
It is on a continuous rise due to activities of humans. This has caused an enormous harm in the past, not only to humans but to many other species of plants and animals. The result has been an ever increasing frequency natural disasters such as hurricanes, droughts, wildfires, floods, heat waves, tornadoes and tropical cyclones.
Major Causes :
– Pollution – Emission of greenhouses gases, specially Carbon Dioxide
– Deforestation – Less trees to protect earth and balance greenhouse effect
– Burning of Fossil Fuels – Causing greenhouse gas emissions
2. Biodiversity Loss
Earth is home to billions of species but humans take the most of the privilege. Plant and animal species extinction is on the rise at an alarming rate globally. Human intervention has contributed much more to loss of many species.
Major Causes :
- Unsustainable fishing, exhaustive agriculture, habitat loss, unlawful poaching, deforestation and moreover the climate change.
- Human intervention in species home.
3. Pollution – Air and Water
Air Pollution – More than 90% of world’s population is living polluted areas. Air quality index continues to impact health of all the living beings on mother earth. Though, the concerning authorities are taking steps to curb this, but the pollution giant is getting bigger with each passing day.
Water Pollution – Chemical pollution from industries and agriculture has already intoxicated most of the water creating more than 500 dead zones. Plastic, once a revolution, has done much harm to the planet than good. Micro plastics are found in more than 80 % of tap water.
